FAQ

FAQs About Westers Roofing Inc.

Q: What experience do you have?

A: Before John opened Westers Roofing, Inc. in 2000, he worked for a Fort Collin roofing company and personally installed and repaired roofs, managed crews, and coordinated jobs with homeowners.  Many of our current professional tradesmen have worked with us since the origination of Westers Roofing.

Q: Is Westers Roofing licensed?

A: Yes! We are licensed as required in Fort Collins, Larimer County, Evans, Loveland, Boulder County and other local towns/counties. Some do not require licensing, but do require a permit and inspection. We request these on your behalf.

Q: Is Westers Roofing insured?

A: Yes! It’s a must!

Q: Do you work directly with insurance companies?

A: Yes! We frequently work directly with insurance companies.

Q: Do you help homeowners deal with insurance claims?

A: Yes! We help educate the consumer and talk with the insurance adjusters. Insurance is complicated so please ask questions.

WESTERS ROOFING DOOR HANGERS KEEP THE HAIL CHASERS FROM KNOCKING! If you’d like a door hanger, please let us know and we’ll get you one!

Q: What products would you use on your own roof?

A: I would use synthetic felt, class 4 SBS shingles along with good flashings, vents, etc., and drip edge (unless the roof pitch is under 4:12), plus any other code items as required within the area.

Q: Do the products you use have a warranty?

A: Yes! I only use products with solid warranties. Please visit the Products page to learn more about our products and to visit the product websites for additional information on warranties.

Q: Is your work under warranty? Do you guarantee your work?

A: Yes! We provide a five-year workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties vary by company/product.

Q: Do you use ‘green’ products? Do you recycle materials?

A: People often ask about green product options, and at this point in time I would not use recycled material for roofing as it hasn’t proven to last. We take used cedar shakes to Hageman Earth Cycle on Prospect Road in Fort Collins to be made into mulch.  There are many new shingle options coming on the market and we are happy to discuss them with you.
